“I founded Melon Communications, a PR & marketing agency based in Leamington Spa 4 years ago when I became unemployed through 2 redundancies (and no pay out). Within the first year I generated enough income into the business to match the salary of my last employed position.
Within 2 years we won Pride of Warwick District Business Person of the Year 2014 Award and 2 Industry Awards. Last year Melon won Pride of Warwick Small Business of the year 2015 and I joined the judging panel of the Midlands Media Awards and Fresh PR Awards last year.
Several clients requested Melon to represent them at key meetings and events which has taken me on work trips to London, Dublin, and Chicago.
I was recognised by Ernst and Young LLP and recommended to Aston Business School to join the Goldman Sachs small business programme of 2014.”
