We are delighted to feature our Woman Who…Business Network Finalists today. Laura Morris and Stacey Calder are the founders of Networking Mummies UK.
“Networking Mummies UK was originally formed to give mums in business a chance to network, however as we’ve grown over the last 7 years, we’ve realised that we are more than just mums. Anyone is welcome to our events but our USP is that they are ran at family friendly times and the children are more than welcome too. We do not charge membership and people are welcome to dip in and out as they choose.
Thanks to our FREE membership and coffee mornings anyone is able to reach and access our networking events, and we offer business skills workshops and personal development affordable as we know many small businesses do not have big marketing budgets. Nothing pleases us more than seeing two of our members collaborating and helping each other. Both our Coventry and our Warwick & Leamington branch have a great following and are promoting businesses and local events to give back to the businesses and parents in that community.
In 2015 we added 15 branches to our network bringing the total number to 32. We work hard to support all our branch leaders making sure each one feels supported in their role. Our goal for this year is to add another 18 branches to our network to make sure we have 50 branches here in the UK. We have also had enquires from abroad so are currently looking to set up our first international branch, we are in good talks with someone in Spain and have had several enquires from places such as Australia and Germany.
I don’t really like the ‘Why we deserve to win’ part of this, but this win wouldn’t be for us, it would be for our 17,000+ members that are building their business around their families day in, day out, many without so much as a pat on the back or a well done. So that’s why we deserve to win so we can recognise not just what we do, but what they do as well.“
