Each day we are featuring our Finalists.  Catherine Colby-Johnson of Aunty Agatha’s Little BIG Sensory Shop is a Finalist in the Woman Who…Start Up Category.

“Aunty Agatha’s opened its high street shop doors in July 2014.  We sell education, sensory, communication and mobility items to babies, children, teens and adults. We make special needs mainstream.

The business has different threads. We have the high street shop, Aunty Agatha’s on the road brings the shop to schools, nurseries and community groups, and we have Aunty Agatha’s pop up shop which goes to events, fayres, markets etc.

We actively encourage adults and children to touch and play with the products and enjoy a sensory shopping experience.  We had a Father Christmas grotto in December.  This was designed and tailored to children and families so they could explore, with no queuing, and spend 20-25 minutes with father Christmas.

We have so many plans for the future more showcases, more summer holiday partnership working, activities and, this years father Christmas grotto is already in the planning stages.”

Congratulations Catherine on being a Woman Who…Start Up Finalist.

You can come along and support Catherine at our Awards Lunch on Friday 15th April at Coombe Abbey Hotel.
