Today we are featuring each of the Woman Who…StartUp Finalists. Introducing Louise Campton of Primary Goal, Finalist in the Woman Who…StartUp Category.
Primary Goal was founded by Director Louise Campton, who spotted a gap in schools for the need of a technician on site who was able to undertake basic IT tasks and partner with the teachers to use technology more effectively within the classroom.
Louise’s background in Careers Education and Guidance has helped her to recognise an opportunity to develop a unique apprenticeship programme, enabling young people with a passion for technology and an interest in teaching to gain paid work opportunities in a school environment and combine this with Digital skills for the future…
“I was absolutely thrilled to hear that I had personally been nominated for three separate woman who awards.
Starting a new business has undoubtedly been the most challenging and rewarding experience of my career to date. Since the launch of Primary Goal in 2015 we have successfully created 8 new full time IT job opportunities and placed an additional 20 apprentices into supporting technology across the curriculum within schools.
I am fortunate to have an incredible team who also started their journey as apprentices and together we are developing a brand new qualification for schools with the support of the Tablet Academy, Google Education and Microsoft Training.
Primary Goal aims to support our existing schools, school leavers and future workforce to be prepared for the job roles which do not yet exist due to the continual demands of changing technology. (Louise Campton)
Congratulations Louise, who is also a Finalist in the Innovates through Technology and Inspiring and Outstanding Leader Categories.
