Ruth Waring FCILT, has worked in the transport industry since 1989. She is the MD of a consultancy firm called Labyrinth and has worked in the retail, automotive and book distribution sectors in the past and has been self employed since Jan 2002. She is also the Founder of Women in Logistics UK.

Labyrinth’s MD & co-owner, Ruth is a recognised industry leader in the areas of logistics compliance, Health and Safety and operational improvements. Ruth recently served for 2 years on the Board of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK (CILT UK) and has 25 years’ experience of working in different roles within the transport industry. Ruth is well-respected and well-connected throughout the logistics and transport community and in 2008 she set up the voluntary organisation Women in Logistics UK, which now has over 4000 members. In May 2013 Ruth was recognised for her work when she won “Industry Champion” at the prestigious FTA everywoman Transport and Logistics Awards
