Ella Jackson, of Robert Welch Designs, was one of our Rising Star Winners at the Awards Lunch in 2018.

Ella entered the Rising Star in Education or Training category and won the Award. Since then Ella has worked on her own personal brand and was also invited to tell us about her journey. Ella also attended our 2019 Awards and was able to share her experiences with our audience.

Since winning the Award, Ella has also featured in a Government campaign to promote apprenticeships. Ella told us that she opted for the Apprenticeship route after leaving school and entered the world of work at Robert Welch Designs.

Following her interview on International Women’s Day 2019, Ella was invited to speak at a West Midlands Innovation and Skills event organised by the Federation of Small Businesses.

Karen Woolley, FSB Development Manager for Staffordshire and West Midlands said “I had the absolute pleasure of interviewing Ella Jackson, Winner of the Woman Who Rising Star Award 2018, as part of our Innovation and Sills event on 4th April. She is an amazing young lady with incredible drive and ambition who outlined that winning the Award had done absolute wonders for her confidence and profile. So much so, that she was invited to feature in the Government’s video for Young Apprentices as part of National Apprenticeship Week in March this year. I have absolutely no doubt that Ella will go far – she truly is a Rising Star.

I would urge all young people to consider entering for an award of this nature – not only does it make you really look inwardly at your strengths and ambitions but, if you win, or are even short listed, it can have a massive positive effect on your confidence and career.
