I’m Sandra Garlick MBE, a former solicitor turned visibility strategist and speaker mentor, helping solopreneurs and authors go from hidden to high profile through speaking, personal brand and purposeful visibility.
I’m the founder of the Woman Who® brand and creator of the Woman Who Achieves and Solopreneur Awards, now celebrating 10+ years of spotlighting and championing women in business. In 2020, I was awarded an MBE for services to women in business, recognising my work in championing female entrepreneurship, leadership and visibility.
My journey hasn’t been linear. After divorce, with two young boys to support and no clear plan, I retrained as a solicitor, built my own law firm and spent 25 years speaking professionally, while running a business. A serious ankle break in 2016 became my wake-up moment. I’d lost my passion for law and knew it was time to reinvent. I always say: if you wake up one morning and no longer love what you do, you have the power within you to change it. I’ve done it more than once.
Today, I work with women (and a few men too) who are brilliant at what they do but tired of being overlooked or feeling like the world’s best kept secret. Through mentoring, curated experiences and strategic support, I help them speak with confidence, own their story and build a personal brand that creates real opportunities. I host the Mic Drop Moments Podcast, lead the Let’s Get Visible ACCELERATE Academy, and deliver The Amplify Experience a high-touch, curated space for women in business ready to raise their profile on their own terms.
I live with partial deafness, so I know what it’s like to struggle to be heard. That’s why visibility isn’t a buzzword for me, it’s real and it’s personal. My mission is to help others raise their voice and own their space, on stage, online and in business.
Visibility isn’t vanity, it’s opportunity and I’m here to create those opportunities and help you grab them.
I’m a Mum and Grannie. I live in the Midlands and enjoy holidays in Italy, watching live sport (especially Football and Rugby) and walking my Sproodle.
