In business, visibility is everything. You might have the most original product or a must-have service, but if nobody knows who you are, then business growth will always feel like an uphill battle.

Visibility builds trust, attracts opportunities, and keeps you front of mind when clients or collaborators are ready to take the next step.

The good news is you don’t have to wait years to be seen. By focusing on a few key areas, you can fast-track your visibility and start making an impact much sooner.

Here are five areas to help you get started on fast tracking your visibility with practical examples you can try straight away:

Use Social Media with Purpose

Doom scrolling doesn’t count! Sorry. You must show up intentionally. Think of your social media platforms as free stages where you can share your expertise, personality, and your story.

We all know how overwhelming social media can feel sometimes, so rather than using a scattergun approach and firing content across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, pick one platform where your ideal client hangs out and focus on doing that to the best of your ability.

Try posting consistently for the next 90 days and keep an eye on your analytics. By showing up, sharing, and engaging, you’ll see a rise in followers and engagement. My Let’s Get Visible: 90 Day Visibility Sprint is the ideal way to get started and receive support and accountability on the way.

Mix content types. Share a quick tip, a personal story, and a client result/case study. Turn testimonials into graphics (Canva is an excellent tool for this) and share them with your audience. Real reactions and feedback make fabulous social proof posts, and all of this builds familiarity and positions you as approachable and knowledgeable.

Speak to Be Heard

Public speaking on stage, on a podcast, or at a networking event can rapidly raise your profile. One talk can reach more people in 20 minutes than a month of one-to-one conversations.

Try pitching yourself as a guest on three podcasts in your sector this month. If that terrifies you, start small by offering to share a short ‘top tips’ slot at your local networking group or do a live on one of your social channels. Speaking creates authority and makes you memorable.

Collaborate and Cross-Promote

Partnerships put you in front of fresh audiences without doubling your workload. The best example of this is my own collaboration with three incredible women’s business networks to form the Great Women in Business Meetup. We have created something incredible, and by tapping into each other’s audiences, we can gain more visibility. Align with someone who serves the same audience but in a different way and has similar values.

How about running a joint Instagram Live with a complementary business? Or perhaps you could create a co-branded freebie where you both share it with your audiences. Members of my Let’s Get Visible Academy will be joining me for Instagram Lives every week over the next few months.

Collaboration adds credibility and multiplies your reach. Who do you know in your network that would be the perfect collaboration partner?

Showcase Testimonials and Case Studies

People buy from people they know, like, and trust. By sharing how you’ve helped others, you provide social proof and reassure potential clients.

Over the next week, consider reaching out to your current or past clients, collecting three testimonials and creating simple graphics for social media.

Another option is to write a short blog post or LinkedIn article showcasing a client story (always ask for permission or change the names). This kind of storytelling will resonate with your target audience and help them see how you can offer a solution to their challenges.

Visibility is not just about showing what you can do; it’s about shining a light on the results you create and the transformations your clients have using your tools and strategies.

Step into the Spotlight at Events

Attending industry events puts you face-to-face with potential clients and collaborators. Even better, being visible at those events as a sponsor, judge, or host elevates your status. I’m making a conscious effort this year to show up in new spaces so I can expand my visibility, make new connections, and widen my reach.

Consider the industry events available in your area, which may include bootcamps such as the FSB (Federation of Small Businesses). Can you book a stand? Do they need speakers or workshop hosts? Are there networking opportunities?

Volunteering to be on a panel or running a workshop at your next local business event is a great way to increase your visibility, as the event organiser will add you to their marketing materials.

If that feels big, start smaller by sharing photos and key takeaways from every event you attend.

Being visible in person accelerates know-like-trust quicker than any online interaction.

Fast tracking your visibility isn’t about doing everything at once. It’s about making smart, intentional choices that help people see, hear, and remember you.

So, here’s a question for you. What are you going to try first?
