Visibility is about using every win, every nomination, and every moment of recognition as a stepping stone for long-term growth. This month, we’re spotlighting Julie Bale, an Amplify Experience member, and how celebration can become a powerful strategy for building your personal brand, expanding your reach, and opening doors you didn’t even know existed.
Summary
- Celebrating achievements helps build credibility, trust, and new opportunities.
- Sharing wins gives others permission to celebrate themselves too.
- Don’t just announce a win. Share the story, struggles, and journey behind it.
- Use awards, testimonials, and nominations as social proof on your website, bio, and marketing.
- Wins can open doors to speaking engagements, collaborations, media coverage, and new audiences.
- Public celebration creates connection, confidence, and community momentum.
Far too many women in business brush past their wins. I see it all the time in my community.
The award nomination gets a quick mention, the client testimonial is quietly filed away, and that ten-year milestone is barely acknowledged before moving on to the next task.
When you recognise that celebration is not the end of the journey but part of the strategy, everything changes.
When you actively share your wins, you:
- Build credibility and trust
- Reinforce your expertise
- Give your audience permission to celebrate themselves
- Create opportunities for visibility, speaking, and collaboration
Spotlight On: Julie Bale
Julie Bale is a great example of what happens when you combine visibility with intention.
Through her work, Julie supports women in stepping into their confidence and owning their voice to align with who they truly are.
Her presence within the Woman Who community and as part of The Amplify Experience reflects a commitment not just to growth but to being seen while doing it.
What really stands out is how Julie embodies visibility. She doesn’t wait for permission, but steps forward, shares her message, and allows herself to be recognised. When she does this, she shows her clients that the same is possible and gives them the confidence to step out on stage and sing.
Turning Wins into Visibility
Have you ever won or achieved something, and after that initial ‘hurrah!’, you move on?
Instead of rushing off to the next event or task, here are a few tips on how to turn your celebrations into a long-term visibility strategy:
Share the Story Behind the Win
Don’t announce the award or nomination, and leave it there. Talk about the journey of what it took to get you there, the challenges you overcame, and why the recognition matters to you.
This is where connection happens. People don’t buy into success, but they do buy into the storytelling.
When I met Julie, I mentioned that as a child, I was told I couldn’t sing. This story became an identity, and it’s something Julie has heard over and over. Once I started working with her, it became clear that I could indeed hold a note, and I performed a solo in concert. That’s a powerful story!
Share Social Proof
Awards and nominations build trust for business owners and solopreneurs. You can use them to update your website about page, include them in your email signature, and in your speaker or media bio. Forget about bragging. That’s not what you’re doing. Sharing your achievements and others’ testimonials is all about positioning.
When Julie shares a message like this, she tells her ideal client that this is the right person to work with. “Julie has truly transformed every day of my future. Now, each morning feels like a song I can sing with confidence. She unlocked something deep within me and lifted my whole world to a new level.” Eve Stanway
Open the Door to Speaking (or Singing!) Opportunities
Platforms like the Woman Who Solopreneur Awards help attendees celebrate success, but I’ve made it my mission to also ensure my awards amplify voices. At all my events, I provide the time and space for my community to stand on stage and deliver a keynote.
I’ve seen timid first-time speakers go on to talk at conferences and launch podcasts. Use that momentum to step into rooms where your message matters.
Celebrate Publicly (and Invite Others In)
Celebration is contagious. When you share your wins, you’re inspiring others to have a go, creating conversations, and building a community that can celebrate together. You only have to look at Julie’s website to see the ladies who stepped into their confidence and celebrated each other, and that’s where long-term visibility really starts to grow.
Take Your Celebration and Turn It into a Strategy
Julie Bale’s journey is a reminder that visibility is intentional and using your celebrations helps you to show up consistently, share a clear message with your target audience, and, most importantly, own your achievements without shrinking into the background.
Remember, a nomination or award isn’t just recognition, but an opportunity.
Take a moment to reflect on your own successes:
- What have you achieved recently that you haven’t fully celebrated?
- Where could you share that story more intentionally?
- How could you turn that win into your next opportunity?
Stop waiting for a big award to start being visible, and start recognising that your story matters.
Being seen, heard, and celebrated is about the impact you make on your business, your audience and wellbeing. When you allow yourself to step forward, own your voice (either speaking or singing), and share your wins, you create space for others to rise with you.
